Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is pledging to fill a funding gap the president created when he decided to pull the United States out of the Paris climate accord.
The agreement made by nearly 200 countries is an effort to reduce global greenhouse emissions. “Americans will honor and fulfill the Paris Agreement by leading from the bottom up — and there isn't anything Washington can do to stop us," said Bloomberg, who is pledging $15 million to support the U.N. agency that helps countries implement the agreement.
